So what does Z-plus do?
Goal Z-plus
Enabling everyone – young and old, families or singles, active or in need of support – to live at home for as long as possible with the utmost autonomy.
Z+ Measurement is an innovative solution for patients who have to undergo regular medical measurements and would like to have the ability to perform and monitor these measurements themselves. This can be useful for people who have chronic conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure, for example, but also for people who want to work on their general health and fitness.
With Z+ Measurement, patients can easily take measurements at home and send the results directly to the alarm dispatch center. Measurements are analysed by nurse operators who can take appropriate action if necessary. In this way, early diagnosis and treatment of abnormal measurements can take place and further health complications can be prevented. By allowing patients to take their own medical measurements and send the results directly to the alarm dispatch center, residential care centres, hospitals and home nursing services can use their time and resources more efficiently and focus more on the patients who need the most attention.
Improved follow-up is crucial to promote the health of people with diabetes and reduce social costs. In collaboration with several partners, i-man is launching a clinical trial to enrich diabetes education with telemonitoring and remote care, aiming to improve this follow-up.
Successive outbreaks of COVID-19 have led to a huge increase in the number of patients, which has put enormous pressure on the healthcare system. The extreme strain on hospitals prevented many patients from receiving the medical care they needed. Z-plus provided the necessary support for the Belgian healthcare providers.
